Artist Statement
Colin Stader’s work is an exploration of pattern and optics. The use of variable line density in combination with generous additions of free flowing transparent colorless glass encourages the viewer's eyes to wander throughout the contours of the form. Using properties unique to glass such as refraction, magnification, and illusion causes the observer to question what is seen and understood about “Magnolia”
